At Zhan Hu, on day sixteen, James was up and about
"Good morning, James", said Peih-Gee, upon awaking
Peih-Gee was happy "powerful player" Aaron was out
By ousting James, another as such they'd be forsaking
She felt confident that throwing the challenge was best
Another immunity loss was a bet Peih-Gee would wage
If there's a merge at ten, they'll be reunited with the rest
Providing, she realized, the rest were on the same page
James saw to the necessities of those holding his fate
If they were well rested, there'd be no cause for defeat
Additionally, supplying the food atop everyone's plate
May provide a more comfortable Tribal Council seat
However, James was aware of the unfortunate score
He knew if Zhan Hu lost, he'd be homeward bound
On day seventeen, at Fei Long, a shock was in store
Todd informed Amanda a hidden idol must be found
That it was somewhere at their campsite, he confided
A stunned Amanda would ask, "how do you know?"
An explanation of the particulars was quietly recited
Courtesy of Leslie and Dave, Todd had clues in tow
Todd said he planned to tell her, once it was retrieved
Despite searching, however, of an idol he was bereft
He needed Amanda's help for the overtly covert deed
As for James and Aaron, Todd needed "whoever is left"
If Fei Long won the Reward Challenge, Todd explained
The next clue, by a captive former mate, will be passed
With the idol, control over the game should be gained
Later that day, Fei Long and Zhan Hu again amassed
In front of an abandoned Chinese village, they stood
One, from each tribe, must search the vacant space
They'll need to locate "tribe colored" planks of wood
After untying a " puzzle board", to the start they'll race
To their tribal mat, each puzzle board must be brought
Upon completion, the next person will depart the start
With eight in hand, a famous phrase must be sought
When the boards are decoded, wisdom they'll impart
The first tribe to figure out what Confucius had to say
Wins an island bound boat ride, snacks, baths, and tea
At a Teahouse, they'll spend the remainder of the day
Jeff told Fei Long they were to compete minus three
Amanda, Denise and Courtney stepped off to the side
Upon hearing "go!", James and Jean-Robert took flight
They entered rooms where memories of past lives reside
Soon, each man had a tribe colored puzzle board in sight
Jean-Robert returned, and Sherea took off in his place
Once James was back, Peih-Gee promptly made tracks
Peih-Gee spoke to Sherea, when they came face to face
She told Sherea her Zhan Hu mates still had their backs
Sherea untied her board in silence, then hastily retreated
Todd raced off, once Sherea dropped board number two
Peih-Gee's board hit the mat, after which Erik proceeded
It was two puzzle boards each, for Fei Long and Zhan Hu
Todd had better luck searching for a puzzle board of red
After un-tethering one, he raced back to Fei Long's start
Upon his return, toward the empty structure Frosti sped
Erik landed on a mat of yellow, and off Jaime would dart
Frosti returned, with Jaime following closely behind
After which, Sherea and James took off, once more
Shortly, red and yellow boards they each would find
At five to five, James and Sherea tied up the score
Jean-Robert and Peih-Gee undertook a second run
Returning board six, Jean-Robert let out a loud shout
Todd sped away, to where a seventh board was hung
Peih-Gee returned, and Erik took a second look about
With board seven, Todd quickly ran to Fei Long's mat
Frosti departed, to retrieve puzzle board number eight
When Erik hit the yellow mat, James flew off like a bat
Upon Frosti's return, his tribe had a puzzle to translate
Over to a large board, Fei Long transported each plank
Through a corresponding slot, eight boards must slide
Some squares will have letters, and some will be blank
As revealed, once the planks are properly placed inside
James returned to Zhan Hu, with a final board in tow
To the bigger board, eight yellow planks they'd schlep
Yet ultimately, Fei Long was first with a phrase to show
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"
"First things first", said Jeff, as a kidnapping was due
"Bring him back, baby!", Jean-Robert was heard to say
James was unanimously chosen, from among Zhan Hu
After he received a bamboo tube, Fei Long sailed away
At a Teahouse they docked, and were warmly greeted
They enjoyed a "light snack" and, as was expected, tea
Jean-Robert took in the view to which they were treated
"A little sweet spot in the middle of nowhere", said he
In large tubs of water, the survivors were immersed
Fei Long was ecstatic, applying many a layer of soap
Still, one player's presence was begrudgingly cursed
With Jean-Robert's existence, Courtney couldn't cope
After bathing, James decided to partake of a shower
This appeared to make Fei Long evermore cheerier
It was as if his butt had some sort of magnetic power
As fourteen eyes were transfixed upon his posterior
Over at camp Zhan Hu, the mood was far from cheery
Erik, Peih-Gee and Jaime were feeling disconnected
The likelihood of their surviving was looking dreary
As, from Frosti, no eye contact had been detected
Additionally, said Peih-Gee, Sherea acted aloof
To her brief words earlier, Sherea gave no reply
The three hoped saving the two was not a goof
On throwing another challenge, they won't rely
Back at the Teahouse, bathrobes were donned
"This is the best reward yet", stated Jean-Robert
From Fei Long's eyes, James was pulled beyond
The bamboo tube's contents, Todd hoped to share
Todd told James idol clues were in his possession

"Hey, can I see that?", a curious Frosti would ask
He wanted a look at what lie under Amanda's feet
Todd stepped away, his nerves undone by the task
Amanda scooped up the idol, and a path she'd beat
She rejoined Todd, and the bat plaque was inspected
They were happy to read the word "congratulations"
To their dismay, Frosti's presence was interjected
He continued tossing wrenches into the situation
Frosti caught enough of a glimpse, amid all the flurry
A celebratory happy dance, by Frosti, was performed
Amanda and Todd told him he'd better be trustworthy
Else his days would be numbered, Todd forewarned
For having found an "in" at Fei Long, Frosti was glad
Elsewhere, James wondered what had just transpired
James met up with Todd, and a conversation was had
Todd told James how one from Zhan Hu can be retired
To James, the immunity idol plaque would be lent
Back to Zhan Hu, the valuable symbol will be toted
James must make sure to Tribal Council he's sent
Where by three, he would no doubt be out-voted
To Jeff, the immunity idol plaque will be presented
Sparing James from incurring a torch snuffing fate
James will decide whom will have a night lamented
Todd suggested Jaime, as from Erik an ally he'll take
James was advised to get Zhan Hu's plaque 'o bats
The moment he returns, he should do a run and rip
James was amazed by the complete change in stats
He had not anticipated the script would make a flip
Todd received a hearty, appreciative slap on the back
James was relieved, knowing nothing could go wrong
Todd said he nearly killed him with his grateful whack
James replied, "that's love, baby...it'll make you strong"
Both Denise and Courtney were brought up to speed
In separate talks, Todd would stress the need to win
Soon, they would get their chance to fail or succeed
For the next Immunity Challenge was set to begin
Jeff sent the kidnapped survivor back to Zhan Hu
A far more relaxed looking James joined his tribe
The competing players had exotic treats to chew
A "food eating competition", Jeff would describe
Two opposing players will square off, per round
For the consumption of exotic Chinese dishes
They'll have to swallow every last morsel down
Jeff said the treats were not exactly delicious
A point is earned if they're first with a clean plate
The first tribe to earn four points will win the day
Three from Fei Long must sit out, Jeff would state
Jean-Robert, Todd and Sherea would walk away
Peih-Gee and Frosti would face off in round one
Ten tender chicken hearts apiece were assigned
After his first place finish, Frosti had a bit of fun
He licked his plate clean, leaving nothing behind
For round two, Jaime and Courtney did the tasting
Three eels apiece stood between them and success
Jaime gladly devoured the eels, with no time wasting
Having lost the tasty test, Courtney spit out the rest
Erik and Amanda came face to face, in round three
Upon each plate, three little turtles would quietly sit
Although into each mouth went every turtle that be
Erik was first to swallow down the very last little bit
With a score of two to one, Zhan Hu was in the lead
James and Denise tentatively stared down a Balut
As planned, James wished to see Denise succeed
For their unnerved comrade, Fei Long would root
She tried her best to ingest the partially formed bird
Yet in her mouth, the feathery egg would not stay
A third point for Zhan Hu was graciously incurred
When James forced himself to put a Balut away
Erik and Frosti took a second turn, in round five
The eggs they'd eat were one thousand years old
Both were far deader than the Balut were almost alive
Erik prevailed, and Zhan Hu was given an idol to hold
Fei Long returned to camp with their heads hung low
Said Jean-Robert, "heads up guys...we played well"
Denise apologized for her less than impressive show
But it was hard to chew the feathers, let alone the shell
Todd had not anticipated it would be an occasion to rue
"Perfect plan...genius idea...smashed", he said with a sigh
Fortunately, they could boot one of the two from Zhan Hu
For Tribal Council awaits, once the sun departs the sky
Amanda, Denise and Todd discussed each candidate
Between Frosti and Sherea, they trusted Frosti more
Courtney joined them, and was apprised of the slate
Shortly, Sherea would be shown the dreaded door
Though Courtney agreed to see Sherea's game end
She wished Jean-Robert's torch would take a snuff
If it was, as he said, his aim to strategically pretend
Courtney more than fell for Jean-Robert's bluff
Rather than follow along, Courtney plead her case
Beside the lake, Todd, Amanda and Frosti lent an ear
She said Jean-Robert was likelier to do an about-face
To their plans for Sherea, the three wished to adhere
Amanda said eventually they'll go after their own
But the upcoming Tribal Council was not the time
Elsewhere, Jean-Robert was sensing a ticket home
He had an "uneasy" feeling his game was on the line
One on one, Todd and Amanda quickly conferred
Todd felt Jean-Robert was, indeed, the better bet
A repeat of Amanda's argument was then heard
For Fei Long's sake, a snuffing Sherea must get
They arrived at Tribal Council, on night eighteen
Jeff said getting along was easy, when you win
He asked Sherea what type of activity was seen

"Shadiness, whispering...", were her observations

Do changes in the game alter how the battle is waged?

He claimed to be the "bad boy" amid the tribal pond
Nonetheless, his game was going good, he'd surmise
Jeff mentioned Courtney had a smug looking face
"I mean, c'mon, bad boy?", she'd sarcastically ask
Courtney asked him if he had a Harley some place
In her bashing of Jean-Robert, Sherea would bask

"He's just a crappy person", was her thoughtful reply

Courtney's last remark, a startled Todd would decry
"That hurts, because I love you", Todd would state
